10 Bible Verses to Show God is in Control

10 Bible Verses to Remember That God is in Control

If you are feeling on side, worried, or tense you are not on your own! Uncertainty quickly ends in fear and fear erodes away at our faith. Fear can be powerful. In fact, fear is one of devil’s most used strategies to get us to doubt God. We have the power to conquer anxiety and fear with God’s promises. Despite what we experience, we need to remind ourselves that God is on top of things. When everything around us feels out of control, we will allow Scripture to show to us that God has been, is, and can be sovereign over our lives and world. He is our peace and luxury. Here are 10 of my favorite Bible verses that take me back to the fact that God is in control.

1). Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” sayings the LORD.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (ESV).

This passage of Scripture assures us that God is aware of what He’s doing, His thinking is distinct than ours while it comes to what is pleasant for us and His ways – and the whole lot He allows – are a lot better and better than ours. Despite what we see around us, we will take a pause and refocus on what clearly matters. Let the “big things” grow to be little in the hands of God.

2). Deuteronomy 31:8

“It is the Lord who is going before you. He can be with you; he’ll not go away from you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Moses spoke those words to Joshua as he commissioned him to take the Israelites into the Promised Land. But we can glean from those words the hope and self belief today that God goes before us, He walks with us, and He’s were given our backs. He will not leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) and He is well privy to all this is taking place, all that has occurred, and all a good way to appear according to His knowledge, His love, and His plan. We do not want to fear when we’ve got God going in advance of our tomorrows.

3). Psalm 73:26

God is on top of things bible verses psalm 73:26

“My flesh and my heart can also fail, but God is the control of my heart and my portion all the time.”

Whether it is sickness, disorder, loss of an activity, betrayal, or maybe our own sin – God shows up. His grace supports us and sustains us. He strengthens our soul via trials and in the second of death, he conquers the grave. Our souls are secure and cozy in the Lords’ arms.

4). 2 Chronicles 2:17

“If my people who are known as through my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will listen from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

This verse reinforces that God desires from His people to be humble and depending on Him. He is the Gentle Healer and the Great Physician. He can heal in my opinion, as well as heal countries physically, economically, and spiritually. But He desires we call out to Him for help. Trust what He is permitting to affect you, your family, and the world, and cry out to Him for restoration. The excellent point we will do when we’re crushed with tension is to cry out to God in prayer.

5). Psalm 23:3

“He refreshes my soul, He courses me with the right paths for his names’ sake.”

Psalm 23 is a stunning chapter of the Bible in which David recognizes God’s goodness and protection in his life. David has come to research the comfort in depending  upon God. He recounts his experience as God being a shepherd for Him – leading him through issues and guiding him. We may have confident hope that God will offer for us during all of life.

6). Psalm 125:2

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.”

Jerusalem is surrounded by natural fortification – Mount Zion at the north, mount of Olives at the east, and different mountains on last sides. Just as Jerusalem is protection, God surrounds and protects us together with his choose and lovingkindness. He is our protector and guards us together with his providential hand. God does not go away us nor forsake but guide us even unto death.  When you are involved you can understand that God is surrounding you on all side!

7). Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be troubled about something, however in each scenario, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all knowledge, will defend your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

God offers us the prescription for tension – and that is prayer. Be brief to hope while the tense thoughts start to upward push. When we take our requests to God we are permitting Him to work in our lives and take control of our thoughts and feelings. We cannot apprehend supernatural peace till we give up our mind to God’s ways and thoughts. Meditating on Scripture and praying in the course of the day will allow us to see occasions through God’s attitude.

8). John 14:27

“Peace I go away with you; my peace I provide you with. I do not deliver to you as the world offers. Do not let your hearts be anxious and do not be afraid.”

Jesus Christ knew that his time to die was approaching. As he organized his disciples he left them with the promise of his legacy – peace. The Gospel of Jesus is peace, each eternal peace via His death and resurrection and peace on earth. By faith in Jesus we discover relief from our issues and worry. Any peace the world gives is brief and fleeting, the peace that Christ gives is lasting and solid. We can believe a loving God who might offer up His son as a payment for our sins in change for eternal and earthly peace.

9). Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made the whole thing lovely in its time. He has additionally set eternity in the human heart; but no one can fathom what God has performed from starting to end.”

There is beauty in everything God has created. He orders all things and upholds their purpose. We might not usually understand why God permits for things to manifest in our lives that cause pain, worry, and fear. However, we will accept as true with that He has a beautiful purpose for it.

10). Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is self assurance in what we hope for and guarantee about what we do not see.”

Faith is believing that God exists, that he rewards individuals who are looking for him and that we will hope in him due to the fact his promises will constantly be true. Faith does not require perfection, but regular notion that God is in control and we are to stay in accordance to His will. A life of faith is lived in believing the promises of God to be real and clinging to them when we’re uncertain. Faith does not want to see to accept as true with that God is on top of things.
