Perfect Love Casts Out Fear from 1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love, but ideal love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” – 1 John 4:18 ESV
“This is how we know that we stay in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we’ve seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If all of us acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they are in God. And so we understand and depend on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made entire among us in order that we are able to believe at the day of judgment: In this world, we are like Jesus. There isn’t any worry in love. But ideal love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one that fears isn’t made perfect in love.”
What Does Perfect Love Mean?
In James 1:4 it states, “Let perseverance finish its work in order that you will be mature and complete, not lacking something.”
The word “best”, (teleia), in Strong’s Greek 5046 is from telos; complete; neuter completeness. In Vincent Word Studies, he states, “Not perfected, as 1 John 4:17 but best because the result of getting been perfected.” We will not be best because of sin, however God choose us due to His best love.
God is familiar with that we don’t have to try for perfection because of grace. How super it’s miles to have a heavenly Father that loves us a lot that He will not give up on us. His love is unfailing, (Psalm 36:5-7), and therefore it continually perseveres us. His love pursues us (1 Cor. 13:7), and never grows uninterested in our imperfections and flaws.

Why Do We Fear?
In 2 Timothy 1:7, it states, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and strength of mind.” We had been given control over our mind and fears.
But Satan is the one who invite us into fear. For instance, In Genesis 3 it talks about how the serpent (Satan), deceives Eve into eating the fruit off the tree of suitable and evil. As quickly as she and her husband Adam ate the fruit, they saw that they have been naked. They speedy began to sew fig leaves collectively due to the shame of being bare. And after they heard God walking in the garden, they hid (Genesis 3:10).
How commonly does Satan persuade you to fear in your life? We fear due to the fact we neglect that God made us with His love. His loves drives, pushes, and casts away all of our tormenting mind and fears. Jesus felt all of the fears we address now, and an example is pointed out in Matthew 26: 36-39:
“Then Jesus went with his disciples to an area called Gethsemane, and he stated to them, “Sit here even as I cross over there and pray.” He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee in conjunction with him, and he began to be sorrowful and afflicted. Then he stated to them, “My soul is crushed with sorrow to the point of loss of life. Stay right here and keep watch with me.”
Going a little farther, he fell together with his face to the floor and prayed, “My Father, if it’s far possible, can also this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you may.”
Jesus began to be sorrowful. He was in a state of misery and depressed due to the fact He knew what was about to manifest. His death for our life but Jesus knew that God’s love for Him is beyond any fear that attempts to available. So, if we can comprehend this, then we will consider in our hearts that God will not leave us nor forsake us in our fear (Deuteronomy 31:6).
The Holy Spirit and Perfect Love
Romans 8:14-17 tells us “For all who’re led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For you did not acquire a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, however you’ve got obtained a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba! Father!” it is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if ychildren, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ—if, in fact, we go through with him in order that we can also be glorified with him.”
If we’re being led by the Spirit of God, then fear must not overtake you. We are followed while we accept Jesus Christ into our lives. But if we’re being led via the spirit of fear, then we’re being prompted and overwhelmed by fear alone.
Call to God and He will answer (Psalm 107:6). Live in God’s love and permit His love rule and be sovereign over your life so that fear will forever be solid away.

Let Nothing Separate You from God’s Love
During tough times and moments of lack of confidence, Satan works more time trying to convince us that God does not love us—that if He did, either we wouldn’t be in this case, or He would’ve added us by now.
I confess with my personal mouth the truth that God does love me during those attacks of fear. And I encourage you to say several instances a day with self assurance, “God loves me!” Don’t allow the devil to steal this truth from you.
Romans 8:38-39, which I pray will comfort you right now, says:
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor whatever else in all advent, might be capable of separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As long as you refuse to allow something separate you from God’s love, you will have the victory.
